Cutting Old Braids: Shutting Down GrooveShouter and Launching Aeondera

After the survey results, GrooveShouter sat quietly on hold for a few months while I worked on new ideas — this time deliberately chosen to be more cost-covering than a passion project. When the domains came up for renewal, paying again for a project I wasn't actively growing made no sense. So I tore it down and started fresh instead.

Everything GrooveShouter taught me — self-hosting infrastructure on my own terms, betting deliberately on Angular and PWAs, surviving self-hosted CI/CD, reverting an architecture decision without ego, running honest, data-informed product calls — is exactly what I now bring to client work. That's the direct line from a DJ's frustration with reading a crowd to Aeondera, a freelance software studio built on the same principles: pragmatic technology choices, transparent engineering, and no pretending things went smoothly when they didn't.
